I have been working an awful job for the past 8 months. Here is some things they have done to me in a short period:
- Gave me the same contract as everyone then a week later did a switch and bait on me and gave me a contract with ZERO benefits. No early finish on a Friday (leaving me to be the ONLY person on site until 5pm), worse hours, more responsibility for no pay
- Approved my holidays then refused them when someone went sick
- Forgot to pay me 3 times in a row, putting me into debt with my LL
- Blamed me for everything wrong any director did, although i passed my probation with flying colours and no complaints
- Bullied me relentlessly, made me feel stupid
- Didnt let me take Christmas Eve off even though everyone else was entitled to it, so again left on my own
- Constantly put me down as absent when i was NOT absent and dragged their heels correcting it.
That isn't all but most of the big ones. Bare in mind i am in Europe where we have more workers rights.
Today was the last straw. Handed in my notice and i leave in 1 weeks time! Not got a new job as of yet but already have 3 interviews lined up, and with my experience i don't see myself having an issues finding a new job!
My mental wellbeing is more important than a company that cannot keep staff longer than a year! I am FREE!!
