Unless you work in a hospital or police station…or anything like that, I feel like if you sit at a computer all day then your job could be done from home.
I don’t understand why the president is pushing for a return to office. And many managers are pushing for return to office (mine included)
Let’s take Covid out of it (even though I think within the next few months we’ll see a new variant), I think folks like working from home simply because they don’t have to commute.
I live in a major urban city. A drive that’s normally 20 min, took me over an hour to get to. I was waking up at 5:30 to leave by 6:30 in order to get there at 8 AM.
Not having to commute you are saving on gas, you save money by eating at home, you could take care of more things around the house etc.
And for the folks that say “I miss the interaction and office camaraderie”….please spare me. I couldn’t care less about office politics
