I recently changed my opinion on antiwork.

The catalyst for my change in opinion was reading The Society of the Spectacle by Guy Debord. My prior opinion was that work was necessary to keep the system going (typical neolib stuff) with a touch of democratization of workplaces and labor unionization for the fair treatment of workers. After reading the book I came to the conclusion that all in all the economy that working in general supports is only necessary because it makes itself necessary. And that working for money was simply you slaving away for the right to transfer tiny amounts of money between elites for materialistic products. In a modern society there is no excuse for anything short of full automation of most jobs and the removal of jobs that simply exist for the purpose of propping up an oppressive system.
