I attended Welding school for the last 6 months. I was the first one to get certified, despite having no prior experience. I got a job before I even graduated. Then I sliced my hand open 1 week before graduation. I can’t bend my finger, pretty sure it’s my flexor tendon.
I have an appointment with the specialist on Tuesday and I’m already starting to panic. I have extreme medical anxiety and I am so worried about needing surgery. I can’t work, can’t afford my rent, can’t pay my bills.
I worked tirelessly for 10 years in the restaurant industry and just wanted something more. Now I can’t even deliver Uber eats. My career is already over and it hasn’t even begun yet…. I’m a failure.
I feel true defeat.
