Hello people of reddit I genuinely just wanted to share a bit in the hopes someone might be able to give me advice.
Basically I was unemployed for almost a year cause of Covid I am in the lucky position of being supported by my family so i could get by without ending up homeless.
I got a job like 3 months ago in the governments crisis management. I work 7 days in a row 10-11 hours a day and then we got 3-4 days off depending on the shift. The pay is ok it's way more i would get at any other job with my education level. But the 7 days working a piece basically close to 80 hours a week exhaust me so much I don't think I can handle it anymore.
I do not have any other job options and i have been looking for a way out for the past 2 weeks.
I feel bad for my employers cause they are very nice but I also can't take it anymore. I get sick by the thought of having to work again the next day, I barely sleep 4 hours a day and I hope i get physically sick just so I don't have to show up. I have been through this before, last time it took me 2 years to actually quit.
Sorry if this isn't whats usually posted here I am really just at my wits end and would love some advice if anybody has some.
