I think we need to re-evaluate what it means to accomplish something

Over the years, I have learned that the definitions of achievement or advancement are ambiguous and shifting. This often depends on who one works with, the nature of the work, and if one has the resources to do the intended work. It's terrible that people can be controlled by the feeling of having to prove themselves to others in a manner that isn't very self-fulfilling. Perhaps there are other ways to live that provide opportunities to improve oneself and one's relationship with the world – without getting entangled in definitions of success.
