Context: I'm a guy who just turned 18 finishing my senior year of high school. I live in Texas.
I honestly believe we are making progress, even if it's a little bit. I've worked 3 jobs, the first paid me 9.25 back in 2020 right before Covid hit, then my second job paid me 10.25 in 2021. And just a week ago I got hired for 13 an hour!!!
I know this battle seems difficult and it also seems like we're not making any progress at all, but things are slowly but surely getting better. Thanks to everyone's efforts and commitment, we are making small but noticeable strides. Thank you to this subreddit for showing me and many others our worth, we don't have to take it anymore.
