Regardless of everything that led to me leaving I thought I would give my boss 4 weeks notice so he could find a replacement. He has his flaws but deep down I thought our friendship would survive me resigning. Three days later I get an email stating that I can clear out my desk after two weeks and be on my way. Where I live this would mean I would be owed severance pay but he is refusing to acknowledge this and I may have to file a complaint with the state labor board. I’m just venting here. At least everyone left at the company now knows to give little to no notice when leaving.
