I told a guy he should contact the NRLB today.

Today on a construction site, I overhead one electrician telling another that “…that's illegal.” So out of curiosity I asked what was illegal. He told me that management of that company had said not to discuss pay. I told him he was right that that is indeed illegal in the US and that he should contact the National Labor Relations Board. He clarified that management had told someone else, not him, not to discuss pay. And I told him, “well if they're dumb enough to put it in writing, you know who to contact.” It's not much of a story, but honestly, just hearing that someone on a construction site knows his rights and is prepared to exercise them did my heart good. Edit: I screwed up the order of labor and relations in the acronym. It seems I'm unable to correct the title. to reflect this edit. Whoops.
