I was working late at night by myself and a group of men walk in acting really drunk. I smiled and was friendly like I always am. The guys started asking for my number and when I said no they started throwing $100 bills at me thinking I would give them my number that way. I kept telling them to take their money and walk away nicely. They wouldn’t listen. One of the guys got very angry and said he had a gun in his pocket. I was terrified. I kept smiling just to keep the peace. Eventually I started pretending to do paperwork and they walked away. Before they left one of them said ” I will come in every day looking for you”. I told my manager and her response was “OK”
That's it. Just “ok”
I love my manager but I lost all respect for her and this company. I feel sick to my stomach that this company doesn't care about their workers being in danger. I feel like I should have kept my mouth shut!
My manager always tells me I'm her favorite worker. I never complain, always on time, and ready to work. She even said she wants me to take over her position next year but now I'm thinking I want to just leave.
