So, I used to work for a cable company (the one with the infamously bad phone reps.) But I quit recently and I figured this would be a good a subreddit as any to post the story. But here's what drove me to that point.

When I started it was literally just me and my manager in store. That's it. That was August and thankfully now they have more people there, in fact I helped to train some of them. What bothered me most was that corporate never did anything to offset that. Having a Kiosk for bill pays would've done wonders.

When we finally did get a couple more people there, there were constant changes to in store procedures (including the hours of the place) with no warning. No courtesy email, no text message, nothing. Just sudden change.

My manager, for the sake of privacy we'll call him C.
Anyway, my last day was a relatively normal one, but I'd been near my breaking point with them for some time. I'd applied to several other places and had my current job all but lined up. A lady came in to start service with us (and since I got the sale, that's more money on my meager ass check.) And she also wanted to bring her cell phone service over. Again, awesome for me because we didn't get too many mobile sales in store.
Now, after we go through the process of setting up cable and internet for her, we start on the phone. For security reasons, we have to do a phone sale on a tablet as opposed to a computer.
I pull her account up on the tablet and it wouldn't let me into the mobile account. I tried this 3 separate times, and it wouldn't let me in. So, like any reasonable person, I told her what we needed to port her phone number in and her internet equipment. I told her I'd call her if the issue gets resolved.
I didn't think much of it, sometimes technical snafus happen, right? Besides she wanted to switch anyway it just wasn't possible that day.
My manager finds out about this and reads me the riot act in the single most patronizing way possible, despite the fact that we lost the phone sale not due to fault of my own but due to a technical snafu (spoiler, she came back in anyway.)
The day after she came back in (which was about 2 days after this incident.) I typed out a resignation letter, took the store key off my keyring, and left them both on C's desk. Never to see that store again.
