So back in Dec I went to HR and flat out let them know: “I'm aware there are new nurses who have come to this facility who are getting paid more than me. Either I get a raise or I'm quitting and you already know I'll have a new job faster than I walked in here.”
Time went on and I had gotten a side job that was helping me out. Checked in back in Jan and I got the “Still havent heard anything back from corporate on your raise.” February comes and its the same bullshit. I told them “You have until the end of February or it's a wrap.” About a week prior I had already went to another job interview. I took some time off to eat up my personal, sick, and vacation time. Its clear they called my bluff but I was not playing with these people. I went in to give my 48 hour notice and walked back to my unit with a raise. Its pathetic i had to call their bluff but I got what I wanted. Just wanted to share my story.
