Hi, I work in one of the most underestimated and over bullshitted working area; beg my pardon, there is probably worst but I am a cook. I worked in two of the biggest hotels of my town and in the best restaurant in it for a total of 5 years of experiences (2-1-2 respectively).
Working 70hrs a week without possibility of lunches, being told “I don't deserve minimum wage” by the CEO but learning the best and chefs wanting me to be their sous-chef, hiding to get something in the belly while serving 5 courses meals with home-made everything.
Even tried to be a manager in a fast food chain but left because I was bullshitted all along. I got a 3% raise the same day the CEO complained about the 8% increase on life, meanwhile people doing the same salary ain't doing shits or laugh at my ass working for two – yes, literally two persons punched out or in when I walked in or out.
Now I found a nice place, like – probably the best, but I have to drive 1 hour to get there… Crazy I have to do this to have the conditions I do deserve…
