In my workplace, like a lot of others, there's a worker shortage and it is going to get worse with gas prices. They negotiated a contract for new hires to come in at $1 less an hour and called me to say 'not to say anything.'
I am irritated that they asked. I am even more irritated at the fact they couldn't understand that I was upset about it. 'You will be making the same amount, I don't understand why you're upset.' I make just enough to get by. By no means is anyone crushing it there. I just don't like seeing other people get screwed over.
