I was just thinking about my “dream job”

As a child and even into my late teens, I wanted so badly to be a teacher. More than being a pro athlete or actor, I wanted to teach. At first just in a general sense, then later on specifically high school history. It’s kinda heartbreaking that I had to abandon that future because it’s not fiscally viable. Teachers should be payed 4 or 5 times what they are currently compensated. I thoroughly enjoy the job I have, and am lucky enough to work for a company that takes care of its employees and compensates us well, but I’d give it up if I could teach high school history if it was properly placed economically. And you know what? I’d be fucking great at it.
