At a meeting the team was told to look at the other members on our team and realize that if we weren’t doing our job in full we were risking their livelihoods. That we would be the reason they can’t feed their children. We were threatened with being fired by management and told if we don’t want to do the work, we are welcome to leave. We were also told if we didn’t do the work and they fired us, that they would fight unemployment claims tooth and nail.
This came from upper management who no doubt make easily 8-10x times what we do. I’m so sick and tired of toxic workplaces.
