I work in a popular fast food restaurant known for its positive hospitality. I enjoy working there. But now I’m considering quitting. My manager called me into her office to say that people have reported me being rude and disrespectful to others and that I should treat others with more respect. She wasn’t mean about this but I still almost said that I quit. I was told that I was rude to one of the managers but I don’t remember even talking to her.
I bust my butt working there. I am respectful to everyone and to every customer that comes in (even the rude ones). I do every task to the best of my abilities and ask for help when I’m confused. I often do tasks that my other co workers don’t want to do. Managers will ask me to do certain things because they know that the other workers won’t do it or won’t do it correctly. Most of my co workers are high schoolers. I’ve been told that they say things about me behind my back. Like saying hurtful comments about my appearance or taking situations out of context.
What mostly upsets me is how hard I work there just to be told that I am being rude, while the people who are actually being rude are just fine.
