I got a work laptop, like other staff members have that many have decorated, changed the screen saver, lock screen etc. So I decided to change the trash icons to the ones listed above. When I had a supervisor lean over my shoulder and help me with a document, they questioned me about it. I just said it was a fun little thing, nothing else.
He told me it was unprofessional and immature. I got written up for it, and I am having a meeting with HR tomorrow?! idek man, are people not allowed to have fun at work anymore?
For context, I work at a university in their library, and no one, but me, sees my computer, besides my supervisor when I ask them for help. I didnt think it was also something worth writing me up over?! damn
