I have my masters and am halfway through another one. I hold a dual license in my state with reciprocity throughout most of the country. I'm salaried just under $50k. I began training other employees last week and asked HR to put me at $50k proper. Nope. I'm capped out. Eight months into the company and there's no possibility of a raise unless I either gain a third license or am promoted with a title change (so not “just training”). So I asked for the promotion. The woman holding the position now isn't here full-time and I'm qualified. Also no. They'd rather have a part-time employee with less credentials and education hold the position (and title and extra $0.50/hour). I was upset until I realized I was crying over *$0.50 an hour.*
