I wish I knew my co-workers enough to start a Union

My workplace is fine, we just get paid absolute shit for the work we do. It's a fortune 500 company, with high stock value that is always boasting about profits, so I know they can afford it. I usually get caught up in work, I am super shy, so I barely know my co-workers. Today I had my annual review, my boss told me they appreciated that I don't visit too much and focus on work. Now that I am thinking about it, I'm just so sad, I don't have the confidence to talk to my co-workers and that is encouraged in our culture. I get so lonely when I am working. I want to get together with them and say, hey, they've had some staffing issues, let's form a Union and treaten to strike if they don't compensate us better!
