Recently I've seen a lot of understaffing and complete shit shows of restaurants. They will have completely unsafe food practices and when it's brought up to the owners, they just blame the employees. It disgusts me.
It is up to the owners of the restaurant to properly train employees, yet they never want to take the blame themselves.
Recently, I had to shut down a restaurant that was a disaster. The owner never took responsibility for not training his employees. When he found out what happened, he fired a bunch of them. FOR HIS LACK OF TRAINING THEM. When I was there, he just kept yelling at everybody.
He of course tried to blame it on covid and was saying he couldn't get any employees to stay. I asked him what he paid his employees. 11 dollars an hour! The McDonald's down the road pays 15 to start. Like come on!
