I'm beyond baffled and appaled by the way my FC has handled the safety shoe issue.
Instead of continuing to go around and ask people if they've ordered safety shoes, they've chose to erroneously impede everyone in the morning.
They've reduced our large entrance area to a small line to have our shoes checked, even if we have their little tag to say we have safety shoes. The safety person this morning was rude and her attitude was disgusting. This is not the first thing I want to encounter in the morning, let alone the morning after I come back from being sick.
Their solution is to not only order shoes for folks, but to require ridiculous overshoes(either covers or actual boots). The boots I was given have their entire bottom scuffed. Shoes are supposed to have grip, I almost slipped multiple times from these boots.
Why are they taking shoe safety so seriously when my job doesn't involved the use of my feet? Why don't they take broken hardware as seriously as this? Why won't they fix actual issues instead of coming up with arbitrary rules to harass folks with?
