McKee foods corporation is the owner of the little Debbie, drakes and sunbelt brands of snack cakes and cereal bars. It is a billion dollar corporation that sees billions in sales annually.
Last week, everyone in the plant was informed that we are getting raises to the tune of around 40 cents, give or take a few pennies depending on your position.
40 cents. 40 freaking pennies.
The cost for natural gas to heat my home each month has doubled since this time last year.
The price of groceries has also nearly doubled.
The price of gasoline has doubled.
The cost of basic necessities has increased. The price of EVERYTHING has increased.
And they give us 40 pennies and think that is sufficient.
Anything under a $5 per hour raise would be INSULTING considering inflation and the increase in cost of living.
This is absurd.
McKee foods pays a LOT of attention to their reputation and specifically what is said about the company online.
