I'm finally making the plunge and quitting my toxic job, and it's all thanks to you guys and your motivating posts. It's a small business of maybe 30 people now thanks to half the company being laid off courtesy of Covid, so you know what that means: Overwork the employees you still have, not hire new ones. Make them all do 3 peoples' (minimum) worth of jobs for the same pay. Raises cost money, why would they do those? I have a whole list of grievances against this place.
I'm trying to decide when to turn in my 2-weeks' notice. I'm thinking soon, but it's been hellish to find a part-time gig to pay the bills to jump to. Preferably easier entry-level remote like data entry without phones, if anyone has any suggestions on employers with souls that are hiring? I want to regain some of my sanity before I jump back into working full-time. I deserve a break after overworking a decade straight.
