If anyone out there that speaks legalese can enlighten me , I really want to know.
It was some years ago this law was passed, and ever since its made me wonder nearly every day, if corporations have the same rights as individuals, then why can't we as individuals start a running invoice on every company?
Put me on hold? That ll cost you.
Make me wait in line? That will cost you.
Want me to be on call 24/7… here's the bill for my hours.
Is it not possible to file a class action lawsuit ,since they set the precedent that corporations and people are the same thing, for a retroactive payment for all the time we have been literally FORCED to pay attention to their advertising? if I tried to force a CEO to listen to me … I would have to pay for an appointment , or get arrested for harassment.
Time is money, and if someone else is profiting from making me wait or by stealing my time and attention, it should be legal to bill them for it. If I pay for a product that comes with advertising, I should get paid by the advertisement for my time , or there should be a discount on my receipt showing the offset costs from the advertising, there should also be a premium no ads version of everything.
Does anyone else feel like the constant attack on our attention, time and money is mental warfare ?
Are there any lawyer types out there that could maybe give me some more context to at least make my anger subside a little?
