I was a seasonal employee at Company last December, but they rehired me earlier this year. However, I'm being paid the same despite a) having to learn 3x as many tasks, and b) fucking inflation. I asked for a raise two weeks ago at my performance review and they're still “deliberating”, so I started applying to other jobs and immediately got interview offers. I have a second (and final) interview next Thursday, for a job that pays $2+ more per hour and is actually full-time with benefits; my current job has me at 32 hours but it “doesn't count” as full time with them, and they “can't afford” the extra one (1) hour a week to make me full time.
Current Company is suuuuper small, I'm one of 6 workers, and I hate the work (manufacturing wall art for rich bozos) but I really like my coworkers and would feel bad leaving them a person short. The problem is I have bills to pay and if I give current place a 2 week notice and stay, I'll be in an even worse financial situation. How shitty would it be to quit with no notice the day after I (hopefully) get this new job? It will depend on how soon I can start if I do get hired, of course, but if they're willing to start me on the 15th, I'd rather just peace out of here on the 12th. Advice?
