If i quit before my first payday will they pay me for the hours i did?

i left work with a major asthma attack because i work around chemicals, Im still in my probation period and I've only done 1.5 shifts, i left the gm a message asking to switch departments and they havent gotten back but if they say no im not sure i can continue to work 8/9 hour shifts around chemicals that set off my asthma.
