I was born into this economic system, just like you were. I lived through inflation, too. My mortgage interest was over 14% and my car loan was 22%. We tried to change the system, just like you are trying. But, the rich tell politicians what laws to make and the banks pay people (others among us) to take our cars and throw us out of our homes. The police are paid to prevent us from fighting back with our hands, because we already don't have money to fight with.
I joined a union because there was lots of construction work and my boss voluntarily signed up as a union company. When the high interest killed the economy, my boss fired me for being in the union. I was just a pawn.
The next generation, who didn't have families to support, lived in smaller apartments and drove smaller cars, replaced me for lower pay. They gave up the improvements that I walked a picket line for.
I started over, with nothing but a family to support, when I was 40 year old. You don't know what hopeless looks like until your wife and kids get in a clunker and you take the keys out of the ignition because there is no where to drive to. I know lots of boomers who suffered and are still suffering. All you want to talk about is the ones who doing well.
You will learn the enemy can't be defined as a generation. It's a system and I'm not stopping you from changing it. If I can, I'll even help.
It's just really hard to give a fuck about you when I'm reading how much you hate me for something I couldn't control.
