A friend met with me for lunch a couple months ago and showed me this video from comedian Masood Boomgaard, and I laughed my ass off, and I loved it so much that I seriously wrote it out to read on a near-daily basis. It finally occurred to me that maybe ya'll in r/antiwork might also appreciate this. Most posts here are news articles or discussion, so I'm not sure if this is the right place… I hope it's alright.
This is the original video that made me laugh so hard… It's the “do nothing” antiwork video because “your boss not care about you…” Language is NSFW. https://www.tiktok.com/@masood_boomgaard/video/7078659547530906885
This is a new one he just posted earlier, which I just saw and which prompted me to come here. This one is about how “your boss is not your friend… so don't give your heart and soul to a place that don't give a fuck about you.” https://www.tiktok.com/@masood_boomgaard/video/7115093918252813574
In similar spirit… a small anecdote… as I was walking out of the grocery store today, I saw an employee of the store sitting on a bench nearby and venting loudly on the phone. As I walked past, he was saying something like, “If you don't want to pay overtime, then hire more people. This isn't my fault or problem. I'm not going to work for free.” You go, man. You preach it.
