Where I work now if I need to take a shit for 30 min, they won't question it. If I couldn't sleep last night for some reason and feel like I'd be a danger on the road they'll let me come in later as long as I come in. I see things on here that make me nervous to try and work other places. I don't like the little regard they had for us during the pandemic (we worked through it and multiple people contacted it and one even died), the pay isn't awful but hasn't grown parallel with increasing cost of living and general rise in income standards (I've seen posts of Panera paying more than we do now), they jobs are essentially dead end unless you know or are related to the owners family, and theirs obvious favoritism to the office workers when it comes to actually giving them benefits and bonuses where as the warehouse workers get shafted. I just don't know what to do. I want to find a better job but I feel like I'll only run in to worse.
This is no mom and pop operation either, we're in the top 5 largest beer distributors in the country. We make millions in profit every year but the conditions in the warehouse have only gotten worse since I started 8 years ago
