I started a security job last night. All went well, wasn't to boring and we joked around a lot. During my interview, though, I was promised the pay being $15 an hour. For my current situation, it's not good but not terrible. My schedule is 11PM-7:30AM. My supervisor went home at 2AM. Before he left I asked about my pay, he tells me the first 16 hours are $7/hr, then the regular pay afterward is $13. I told him that HQ said it was suppose to be $15. The he gave me lip about it, saying how it's not his problem, and I should take it up the company themselves and stop being a greedy little shit.
I didn't say anything else, just let him be on his way. Well, I finished the shift, went home to sleep, then woke up later today and thought “fuck this I'm not giving them my time.” Blocked the supervisors number and the company and didn't let either of them know I wasn't coming in then turned my phone's data off.
Am I in the wrong here? I feel kinda bad in a way but fuck that supervisor ngl my anxiety is kinda skyrocketing
TL;DR
I was told I was making $15/hr, but instead got $13 and got insults thrown my way because I asked about it. Now I'm not calling them saying I quit.
