I’m being forced into office even with my proven medical condition.

Hi, I am 28(M) diagnosed with a cracked hip joint few months ago due to which I was not able to resume my work in the office for about 2 months and after that I was given wfh on medical conditions. I was told to be on bed rest for 4 months, so just light work and avoid travelling or walking for longer periods of time. I was also told by the doctor to avoid lifting heavy things and to also minimize sitting or walking for longer periods of time. However, few minutes ago, I was called by one of the upper managers from my workforce and was told that the higher ups have decided to completely remove any wfh employees even those with medical conditions and I am being told to come to office and work from there in 6 days time. I cannot do that. My hip still pains if I sit around for a longer period of time or I travel even for 15-20 minutes. I have told my supervisor that this is how it is being done and I won't be able to resume work like this since even if I force myself for 2-3 days, the after effects will be too severe for me to handle after that.

I have also acknowledged to my supervisor that all the documents are there with the HR according to which I was given wfh on medical condition however my supervisor have given me strict instructions to resume work from office come 1st August. I cannot do this. I have all the company assets with me and there is no problem in my production albeit momentarily electricity cuts or internet downtimes but even then I have extended my shifts beyond my shift timings to complete my logins.

This is ridiculous.
