I work a sales job that I'm pretty good at. One of the most knowledgeable in the store that people always ask for questions. But I work part time and only on weekends so I've never really felt like it's fair to ask for a raise. I started back in 2019 at $15 an hour which was pretty good back then but now in 2022 I'm making 16.56 an hour. I quickly googled what the inflation has been like since 2019 and it says the dollar has lost around 14% it's value since then. That means $15 an hour is 17.10 an hour today. I'm kinda a nervous fellow so how do I go about asking for a raise cuz I don't think it's fair to make less then what I started with.
