“I finally got my first adult job” is just code for anything 9-5 basically. I hear it all the time and it always just rubs me the wrong way. I work some form or a 9-5 but I would never consider my job any more “adult” than a server/bartender or anything else really. It just always comes across like they think their job is better than others.
