I live in Alabama. Unfortunately, the majority of the south consists of right wingers, and they ALL are under the belief that rich people are rich because they're smarter and work harder than everyone else.
I was talking to someone about my hatred of Jeff Bezos, and he was like, “why? He's just an awesome rich guy living the dream, dont hate someone for being successful.” I responded that no, he's a piece of shit because his empire is built on the backs of poor people whom he's taken advantage of by notorious underpayment and mistreatment. This guys response? “The workers don't deserve any better, all they do is put stuff in boxes. It's not Jeff's job to make their lives better, it's his job to enjoy the rich life.”
If it weren't for dumbass people, our society could be in such a better place. I really don't see a lot of hope for America climbing out of this pit we're in. Capitalism is a weed that is watered by an ocean of stupidity.
