Im starting to do my job search and I’m noticing something.

So, I'm noticing that most employers when you apply, ask about what your base salary would be when approached. I'm trying to move out of my field and into a tech field (which I found a nice gig work for 30/hr, probably gonna take it because why not). I'm currently employed through a warehouse shipping paint and I make 22/hr, which is no where close to what I want to actually be making. They don't seem to understand that inflation is literally making people move to higher paying jobs, but won't pay higher.
