We had shop, automotive, accounting, driving class, Home Ec., life skills like resumes, reading a apartment contract, setting up utilities. All these I could teach my kids so I never worried. So short sighted of me. I forget to worry about my next door neighbors children
When my kids stopped learning cursive writing, I got concerned. Cursive is very important. It taps into creativity. It teaches success that comes with perseverance. I still have my little paper that I got a smiley face on when I got my capital Ts right.
Yes not everyone will handle cursive or any of those classes above. But we have decided that the need of the few now outweigh the need of the many.
The needs of the many may be you. I think there are people that ensured your needs were not met when it mattered.
