Hello, first time posting here. I've been working in this retail store for about 6 years now. It's a Saturday and our store manager has cut majority of the people who were suppose to work today. Tonight it's only me, one cashier and one closing manager. It's packed. All the departments are a mess. Shopping carts everywhere. I feel so devastated, I could do the work but it just sucks that for some reason it's okay to let one single person to recover the entire store. A coworker told me earlier in the day that our boss cut people and like the reliable employee that I am I believe our boss would bring people in and not desert me alone on the floor. I was completely wrong. How should I approach this with my boss when he comes in on Monday? Should I inform HR? should I ask for a raise? Thank you…
