In the event of a general strike should we strike if our employer is treating us fairly?

If a general strike was coordinated would it be better to show solidarity and strike as well if your employer is one of the few who treats its employees fairly? Or would it be more beneficial to continue working and show the employers treating us fairly means we will work fairly? My employer pays me well, offers me benefits, and treats me like a human. My employer pays me well, offers me benefits, and treats me like a human. They offer mental health support. When we moved to WFH due to the pandemic they gave us each a fair budget to equip ourselves. They promote a work-life balance and allow us to step away from work when required as long as we put in our hours and finish our tasks. When talking about a return to the office they said they will not force anyone back unless their is a clearly defined reason for a role to return and “managing” us is not a valid reason. They offer opportunities for promoting and provide career development opportunities and individual counselling for those looking to move up or move to other employers. I truly feel valued and I enjoy working for them.

Is it fair to punish them in the event of a general strike? Part of me thinks yes because the whole point is solidarity with those are being taken advantage of in their work. But another part of me says no because then I a punishing them despite their efforts to be better.

I am unionized so I know a lot of these things I appreciate came from the union fighting and people striking, but my department especially goes above and beyond what the union fought for. If the union said strike I would, but if they were ambivalent to the idea I don't know what I would decide.

What's your opinion if a general strike were to happen?
