Interning as an HR Clerk is a joke

To give a little context, I work for a major theme park company and my manager was promoted less than three months ago. I’m majoring in Management and graduating this Summer. We are only 30% staffed and the park opens in less than two weeks. My manager constantly says the reason we aren’t fully staffed is because no one wants to work. What a fucking joke. I took a major pay cut to do this job so I could receive college credit and graduate on time. The bulk of my job revolves around recruiting candidates, onboarding and processing, and updating the database daily to somehow meet her deadline. I’m getting paid $10 an hour to manage all of her departments and a 16 year old working their first job being a cashier is making more than me. We are the same age, she has no business experience, and graduated from college with a degree in dance. All she does when she works is sit in her office blast Celine Dion, brag about her promotion to supervisors, and eat food all day. This job has made me realize that HR is a joke and I need a new field to go into once I graduate.
