Saw this in a job description a recruiter sent to me. I'm not in the market and don't normally respond to these, but this really rubbed me the wrong way. Fortunately I've been in the industry a long time now (12+ years) so I'm not so worried about this, but I've also worked a number of internships in my life, one of which was unpaid.
If I had a few years of experience but got told that my unpaid internship, that was presumably only for experience, didn't count as experience, I'd absolutely tell this guy to cram it up his ass.
