Interstate Trucking overtime Loophole

In July of 2018 I started driving tractor-trailer locally in the Dallas/Fort Worth, Texas area for a company based out of California. I was their only employee in Texas. At the time they paid their California drivers overtime after 8 hours daily. I was told as I worked in Texas that I would not receive overtime pay until I exceeded 40 hours. For nearly 3 years and 11 months they have been paying me overtime pay. My starting pay rate was decent but never increased. After taking months, they raised my pay by $1 an hour. 6 months ago they hired a second driver at the same pay as me but they did not pay him overtime regardless of how many hours he works. Apparently this is legal for Interstate Carriers. He actually does occasional Interstate runs but I do not. On 6/17 I was notified that effective 6/20 I would no longer be paid overtime pay. I have worked like an animal for these people and gone far above and beyond the call of duty countless times. It's a slap in the face and I am looking for another job.
