Venture capital investment will make you rich but not normal investment. Basically gambling with money your parents give you makes you rich.
I got a small sum of money from my Grandma when she died 10 years ago. I invested it because she wanted me to do that. I put it into a dozen things that we supposed to be good investments. I also invested all the money I made since into it as well.
Now I only had about 3 years where I was healthy enough to make over 25k a year in that decade but I put it all away. Over time I got more desperate and put it all into a dividend stock that gave me extra money per month. Well after needing to be on Cobra for 18 months and the stock tanking I noticed I have the same amount of money my Grandma left me in stock value.
I worked for a decade for free. I have no fucking clue what I'm doing. Rich people don't ever seem to have this problem. I swear I should just invest in a gun and one bullet.
And I wasn't even paying any rent because my parents pity me.
