So I have been working in my current field for years. It's a subset of communications. I attended 4 years of college but due to what can be simplified to a scheduling issue, I missed a couple of GE glasses required for my degree.
I just started doing freelance and worked my way into the industry. My resume just has my dates attended and doesn't list any kind of final degree. I've worked multiple jobs since and it hasn't been a big deal or even brought up at all.
I'm about to sign an offer for a job I could see myself working at for a very long time, and while I again never presented myself like a college grad…I'm nervous.
When I sign my offer should I get ahead of it and reiterate that I don't have a final certificate of any kind? It feels dumb to to worry about it but last thing I want to do is be into this job and get burned over a misunderstanding.
I'm also scared though I double check and they panic and change their mind when if I said nothing it'd have been fine.
They are offering me based off my portfolio and my work experience that they've seen and is tangible…I feel like that's enough but I don't want any hiccups.
