I work in bank. Sometimes I'm a Teller, sometimes I'm a Banker. It's fast-paced and full of rude customers. I know what you're thinking “Who goes into a bank these days?” And you would be right, except for the area I work in. Full of boomers with money and also local businesses, but most importantly full of people who refuse to make appointments or use technology like their phones or computers to do simple tasks, thus being part of the crowd they complain to me about. Anyway, I'm burnt out. There's a reason most people don't stay at a branch level. I've been there for almost 5 years now. There is only 1 person in my branch who has been there longer.
I suppose I don't really need to elaborate more, since we all know what this community is about.
I've been looking for another position, one that is not customer-facing and they are hard to come by. My company also delisted all WFH positions. I feel with my lack of proper training, being a Banker somewhere else would be a struggle.
Is it so hard to ask for a WFH position that pays well, where I am not worked into exhaustion and most importantly, where I don't have to deal with the public over the phone? Maybe I should make a plan to hit the lottery? I'm too old, not fit enough and already too married to find a rich dude with a bum ticker. I've been searching up Indeed almost every day to no avail. LoL.
I laugh because I'm cracking.
