Is my daughter obligated to share MRI results or Medical records with an employer?

My daughter has been put on restrictive duty by her doctor. She brought in the doctors note outlining her limitations and has kept her manager in the loop on her condition. She has appointments set up for PT and other recommended treatments. Her office manager asked for her MRI results and asked her to tell the her doctors office that she (the manager) has permission to access her records. I told my daughter to tell the manager that she was not giving her access to any records or test results. My husband thinks I may be wrong about telling them no and he is concerned that denying them access may be grounds for firing. Am I wrong here or is this office manager being snoopy?
