So many subs here and other online communities have the rule “no political speech.” It's also a shunned conversation topic at work and at social gatherings. Isn't politics basically a study of our relationships with other humans? If we can't talk to one another about it, can we ever solve any social problems? Would we do better if we just banned calling each other idiots in all caps and making up cute names like “Dumb Donald” and “Sleepy Joe” to obscure actual political speech?
