I work at a major supermarket chain in the Netherlands and have been working there for about 4 month and despise it and seriously want out of it. I told my boss and she told me that I would need to first finish my preset schedule which will end in june. There is NO way I am working another day there and I was wondering if there are any real consequences to me just not showing up? I am the lowest possible in the chain of command because I am an international student and do not speak the native language of dutch so even 16 years tell me what to do at the store sometimes, I'm pretty confident the store will be just fine without me. Is there any trouble or consequences to just not showing up anymore and/or telling them straight that I can't and will not show up anymore?
