Is there not an incentive to keep people in a position where they only get paid a fraction of the value they produce?

From what I understand, it’s widely accepted that whether you’re an employee or an employer comes down to your personality, your risk tolerance etc. So what this means if I continue with this train of thought is that there’s a personality that rises to the top and if you don’t have it then… well why would you want to take risk in the first place? Because massive risks, massive rewards. Why might you want massive rewards? Because you want a lot of experiences out of life, and to be able to be the executive director of your life, the party host, so instead of just “wishing” to be rich as an employee might do, you truly wanted to, so you went the entrepreneurial route, became a “job provider/creator” which makes you sound so sweet, but what you were really trying to do is enjoy your own party. You hire a couple, thousands of employees and everything is sweet. At some point, your greatest employees “grow wise from persisting in their folly”, negotiating starts, you offer them a higher fraction of the value they provide but they decide they want to “save the world” too… so up and away they go. You’re a little peeved (if you’re unprofessional. It’s business at the end of the day) but it’s ok because you might just find someone who’d do the same work they were doing for less…
