Is this really what I should expect from white-collar America?

I have seen a lot of people saying that for every job their wage increased, the labor decreased. I have never worked in corporate America before starting this WFH job Monday. Yesterday was full of training and back to back meetings with people in the company to get me all setup. Well, now I’m all set up. And I’m replying to maybe an email an hour? I know the workload will probably increase as I get more settled in but… is this really it? I busted my ass in restaurants and nannying for less hourly pay and no healthcare. … Now I’m laying in bed replying to emails and getting salary with full benefits? This doesn’t make sense to me. I feel like a scammer somehow.
